Folds

Using simple folds and cuts, I explore transforming flat hard surfaces into objects that have volume and a sense of interior and exterior. The negative spaces that the bends and cutouts create are an essential part of
the work. The sculptures can be oriented in different ways and change when viewed from different angles.
The interactive quality connects to our relationship with the objects we live with and the spaces we inhabit.
